The Bonetector was an idea of Joey Maseria's, an experienced restaurant owner, who has had a long career of working at, managing and then owning a series of successful restaurants in the Cleveland Ohio area. He also was a pioneer in the making of specialty pasta sauces. In fact, we will venture to say he invented specialty sauces. (Well that's another story, along with the stories he can share when he was the road manager for Joe Walsh after graduating from Kent State.)

The Bonetector was just an idea when he met Al Harlow (See https://albertharlow.com). While on a trip returning from a vacation to the Bahamas, the Harlow family by happen-chance were on the same flight together with the Maseria family, and so Joe and Al had a chance to talk. They did not know each other but lived in the same neighborhood in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

When the conversation came to asking each other what they did, Al explained that he was a product developer and entrepreneur. It was then that Joe explained a concept he had for protecting the rack of lamb bones from burning when cooking at his restaurant, which at the time was called The East Side Grill (now Cucina Rustica), in Bainbridge, Ohio.

Thus, after months of efforts working together, and a trip to Chicago together, and thousands of dollars spent, they achieved their goal of making the first rack of lamb cooking utensil, they christened the Bonetector.

Currently, the management of this website and the processing of orders are being handled by Al Harlow, who is President of The Click IT Group. If you have any questions or want to contact Joey, you can email [email protected] or fill out this form found here. Be sure to mention that the reason for your inquiry concerns the Bonetector.
